Robocop (2014) Rating: 9.0/10 Review: So, as you guys have most likely noticed, I have been pumping up Robocop a lot ever since I saw the first trailer, hoping that it would be a great movie. Well...guess who was right, guys? Robocop tells the complex and interesting story of Officer Alex Murphys troublesome quest as he gets used to being turned from man to human after a tragic attempt on his life. This movie is really interesting and (surprisingly) not predictable. It is filled with many twists and turns, problems, conflicts, and many edge-of-your-seat action sequences. All of the visual and special effects were really good, and the score was also intriguing and fit perfectly with the movie. Everybody did an outstanding job at their roles, as well: Joel Kinnaman (Alex Murphy/Robocop), Gary Oldman (Dr. Norton), Jackie Earle Haley (Maddox), Michael Keaton (Raymond Sellars), and Samuel L. Jackson (Pat Novak). I was so surprised walking out of the theater after seeing this. Like, it was a really good movie! Before seeing this movie, I never really thought much of Robocop. Usually when I heard Robocop I would just think oh...that old 80s movie that I never really cared to see. However, now I see that Robocop is actually a really cool hero with problems, villains, and characteristics of his very own. Overall, Robocop is, of course, not as good of a movie as The Dark Knight or Rises, but I do definitely put it up there as one of the best superhero movies. I highly, highly recommend this movie to all superhero buffs or anybody just looking for a good action film.
