Rock Your Brave Can a man still be brave if hes afraid?...That is the only time a man can be brave. I have fears, too many to list. Some are demons. Some paralyze me. Some as old as childhood memories. Some, I suspect, meant to protect me. I have fears, and I have not banished a single one of them. They simply lie in wait, until I come to a situation which awakens them. I have fears, and they are woven into the very fabric of me. And I am only brave when, cloaked within them, I continue on. I cannot tell you, Do not be afraid. For I know fear. But hopefully you can hear, Jump just the same. ~Fear~ Each and every day You shape what I believe Simply standing in my way Limiting what I can achieve With a voice so very loud Telling me I could not do To your lies I have bowed Until they became true As if by some magic Made dreams disappear Nothing more tragic Than a life lived in fear The greatest mistake made Allowing you dreams to keep So even when I am afraid I shall still take the leap Now comes the new year And with it a resolution In spite of all my fear I will do what must be done Live life full force. ~G
