Rock in Rio just announced a new batch of artists for its Vegas two-weekend mega-concert affair in May. They are: SAM SMITH, MAGIC!, Jessie J, Empire of the Sun, Foster The People, Charli XCX, Gary Clark Jr, Echosmith, Hollywood Undead, Ivete Sangalo, Bleachers, Tove Lo, Saints of Valory, Of Mice & Men, James Bay, Mikky Ekko, Sepultura and The Pretty Reckless. Those artists will join already announced headliners: No Doubt, Metallica, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, John Legend, Joss Stone, Deftones, Coheed and Cambria and Ed Sheeran. An open-air festival, Rock in Rio will take place across from SLS Las Vegas Hotel & Casino May 8-9 and 15-16. Some 80,000 are expected to attend each day. The event will run from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tickets go on sale again January 20 and are priced at $298 per weekend. One-day VIP passes are listed at $498 and include an open bar (more info in the link).
