Rocky Mountain National Park Day 3 No rain today! The whole day was over 9500 altitude today. We hiked over Storm Pass and Climbed Estes Cone to 11,600 feet. We means myself and Phebe, the owner of a local outdoors store who 10 years ago started a side business of inn-to-inn hiking. She decided to hike with me today. She celebrated her 60th birthday last month. Cruising the internet I found her website: footpathsoftheworld, and this hike is the Walter Tishma Way. We varied it up a bit but I would recommend it. It was a welcome site to see our mountain B&B tonight, Baldpate Inn, built in 1917. Nine guest rooms, and a restaurant known for the daily homemade pies made by the proprietress Lois. The inn is open every year from Memorial Day to Columbus Day and a blissful place for weddings. See photos. Nice sleeping in the Rockies.
