Rocky on a hack today.. where we end up having a visit with bff, JayR. *This is Rocky, our 8 year old Andalusian/QH gelding we rescued along with Redford last Spring. He is quite the character and seems to find life very amusing. He is playful and a bit alpha in the paddock, but he mostly just wants to have fun. He is blind in his right eye, but doesnt let that bother him. He stands about 16 hands and as you can see is quite big bodied. He is a very sound horse and is hacking trails barefoot without a problem. We do feel he is a one person horse and will need time to bond with the right person. He has some anxiety under saddle, but is making progress. We feel he may have been a victim of charro abuse. A dedicated natural horsemanship student would most likely suit him best.
