Rod Stewarts multi-platinum Atlantic Crossing released in 1975 was his sixth album. with it Rod Stewart ended his association with ron wood & ian mclagan of the faces who were his core collaborators on his classic albums fusing soul & folk. on Atlantic Crossing he used session musicians including the memphis horns & 3/4 of booker t. & the mgs. following the success of this release Rod Stewart announced his exit from the group the faces by the end of the year.
