Romans 6:21 So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. .......There is a vine that if not killed, will take an entire house, or tree and will overtake your entire property. Any subtle omission, like telling a white lie, is like planting one of these vines in the garden of your heart. Thinking we have found a shortcut, we get sloppy, lazy, then we get lost. If I let one infraction of integrity slide without correction, I feel the tug of the Holy Spirit. Tiny lies are like snowballs rolling downhill...theyre sticky and get bigger fast! Lies big or small are still lies. How do we stay in the truth when the potential resides in us to compromise? We must recommit our walk with God every morning before we do anything else. We do that through prayer and reading the Scriptures. By doing this we are choosing light over darkness while its to early to mess up. Then we must align ourselves with the prompting of the Spirit. This is a highly personal thing which grows in direct proportion to our time and devotion to our walk with God. Integrity is being a Christlike character in work clothes. I pray that if you feel a tug by the Spirit by that vine growing on you, that you will kill the vine today, and ask God to help you over it. I pray your weekend will be safe and richly blessed my friends~♥
