Ron Howards 1984 movie, Cocoon, was shot in St. Petes Suncoast Manor (formerly Sunny Shores). The main dining room (seen in postcard) and hallways were featured as ugly, fluorescent-lit environments, which is exactly opposite of the reality. My parents lived there (when it was re-branded Westminster Shores) and the original dining hall was lovely and clean. The other interiors were well tended too.
