Roots of Satanism in our Church. Satan lost view of the fact that he was created and that everything he had was a GIFT. He had done NOTHING to achieve his beauty, position and even his talents. God had CREATED him for what he was doing as a covering Cherub. Everything he had and possessed was an act of Gods grace, UNDESERVED, yet he took it as IF IT WERE HIS OWN. He was no longer satisfied with the GIFTS that were given to him, but coveted the powers and authority that God had NOT given him. I find it strange when I hear mere people talking AS IF the powers that Jesus had and has are THEIR OWN. Yet, even Jesus, when in human form, did NOTHING of and FOR Himself and took NO credit, but ALLOWED the Holy Spirit to flow through Him; allowing GOD to be glorified in His works. WHY? because He understood the DIFFERENCE between Himself, as a man, and God. Paganism, Satanism wants us to think that WE and God are ONE. That when God acts IN us, the POWER becomes OURS. It does NOT. They take text like John 17:21 that they also may be one in us and Luke 10:19, I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy and think that the POWER is OURS and WE are like God: the LIE that was told to Eve. The power is not ours and we are not gods. We, at best, CAN BE a CONDUIT for HIS power. That takes humility; an understanding that we are CREATED and all that we have are UNDESERVED GIFTS from the hand of our Creator.
