Ross Altman hosts Concert for Bangladesh in Venice, CA: Forty years ago George Harrison scrambled to put together an incredible Concert for Bangladesh. Unable to pull together the Beatles, who had split up a couple years earlier, Harrison was able to recruit Bob Dylan out of his self-imposed "retirement" following his motorcycle accident. That opened the way for a number of fine artists to step forward and support the call for independence for Bangladesh. The concert paved the way for future events that aimed at making our world a better place to live. LA folksinger Ross Altman has pulled together a group of local artists for a little concert of our own. The event takes place at the Talking Stick coffee house in Venice tonight from 7 to 10.
