Rotary Club of Katugastota – Community Service Project President and Members of Rotary Club of Katugastota visited Rathnajothy Vidyalaya, Udathalawinne, Katugastota on 7th November, 2014 and made a donation of kitchen and pantry requisites to their Home Science Unit. The school organized religious services and a cultural programme to formally receive the items. The school has been using borrowed items for examinations and competitions. The principal in her speech thanked the Club and the Rotary movement for this magnanimous gesture which came at the appropriate moment, just a day before an important event where the students were to take part. The items donated were 5 - piece saucepan set, 6 spoons, 6 Forks, 12 dinner plates, Rice Platter, 8 Curry Bowls, 4 Glass Bowls, 12 water glasses, Knife, Wooden & Plastic Cutting Boards, Electric Mixer/Grinder and a Grater.
