Round 11 Eastside Defeated Jilkminggan by 182 points Eastside put in a strong performance with only 19 players getting their season heading back in the right direction with every player putting in a top performance to demolish the boys from Jilky. The team was too good for their opposition from the opening bounce getting the ball quickly into the forward 50 all game. The forward line put in another top effort by finishing off the hard work by the rest of the team, P.Kossack and R.Carpenter were a handful for the opposition backline kicking 5 goals each, W.Kossack put in another best on ground performance kicking 9 goals and setting up countless others all the while terrorising the Jilkminggan backline with his big marks and strong tackling. The midfield was winning the stoppages all night and was getting first use of the ball which set up the big win, W.Ross played well all around the ground taking strong marks, G.Smith and S.Carr were winning the hard ball and getting themselves in the right position to rebound the ball back to the forwards and M.Hamilton was picking up possessions at will. The Backline had a quiet game this week with the midfield being so dominant but when the ball did come into the back 50 the boys were up for the challenge and quickly shut down the Jilkminggan attack and rebounded it back up the ground with efficiency, while only letting in 14 points for the whole game. A top effort by the team whove been struggling through the mid season to get players to training and also to the games to give out back to back thrashing to teams by over 100points.
