Rudbeckia fulgida - Showy Black-Eyed Susan. Like the other - TopicsExpress

Rudbeckia fulgida - Showy Black-Eyed Susan. Like the other Rudbeckia species, this plant has the signature bloom of yellow ray florets surrounding dark brown disc florets. From August to September, these 2 to 4 wide flowerheads attract various bees, butterflies, and moths. It will grow 2 to 3 tall and has dark green, somewhat oval shaped leaves that become narrower and shorter as they near the top of the plant. This attractive species does best in medium soils and full sunlight.
