Rulloffs was my first job. I started there washing dishes and bar - TopicsExpress

Rulloffs was my first job. I started there washing dishes and bar backing. Working the door and working as a line prep. I waited tables there and ultimately bar tended and night managed the place. At 19, I was unable to apply the good judgment that I grasp for now, but certain situations required that I step up and attempt to do the right thing, and I did my best. I met kids there that were aspiring to get into Cornell, college kids who needed a little pocket change and college kids who were making money to barely hold on, and I met townspeople who deepened and broadened my college experience in ways I had not anticipated they would or could. Beyond work and learning what it meant to work, it was a social staple for me and my friends. We drank and we ate, and we mulled over and discussed and anticipated hook ups, and road trips and encounters that led to love in this place. I cant overstate what it was to me.
