SAFE & SECURE: HE became the anchor of eternal salvation to all who obey HIM. ~ Hebrews 5:9 .......... With the exception of JESUS, no one in the Bible probably endured more scorn than Noah. Told to build an ark to escape GODS judgment, we read that Noah did, according to all that GOD commanded him (Gen. 6:22). Can you imagine what his neighbors said? Can you picture them shaking their heads & laughing, calling him a fool & murmuring he must be out of his mind? Can you envision them angrily rejecting his warnings of coming judgment & returning to their idolatrous ways (for 2 Pet. 2:5 calls Noah a preacher of righteousness)? But when the flood came, only Noah & his family were saved. For those who scorned his pleas, it was too late. You & I are called to proclaim a message that often seems foolishness to an unbelieving world---the message of the Cross. Will everyone accept it? No. Will some mock us? Yes. But never stop sharing the Gospel, for it is still the power of GOD for the salvation of everyone who believes ( Rom. 1:16 ). ~ Billy Graham ~
