Johnston, who was sidelined for more than two months by a knee injury earlier this season, continued his good SANFL form with a 16-possession, nine mark performance featuring some fine kicking on goal in a 105-point win over South Adelaide. Crows-listed players dominated the game at Woodville on Saturday. Jared Petrenko was outstanding for the Eagles but Matthew Jaensch, Sam Kerridge and rookie Tim McIntyre were keys to Sturt’s win. Central District had the bye. SANFL league stats: Sam Shaw (Glenelg): Five kicks, four handballs Matthew Jaensch (Sturt): 20 kicks, 12 handballs, eight marks, six clearances, 1.0 Sam Kerridge (Sturt): 15 kicks, 11 handballs, six clearances, 1.0 Brodie Martin (Sturt): Five kicks, six handballs, 2.1 Angus Graham (Sturt): Four kicks, five handballs, 16 hit outs, 2.0 Tim McIntyre (Sturt): Nine kicks, three marks, 4.1 Jared Petrenko (Eagles): 19 kicks, nine handballs, nine clearances Cam Ellis-Yolmen (Eagles): Eight kicks, 12 handballs, eight marks Luke Thompson (Eagles): One kick, five handballs (injured) Lewis Johnston (North): 13 kicks, three handballs, nine marks, 7.0 SANFL reserves (TBC)
