SASHA UPDATE FROM VSH in CARY, NC: I just got off the phone with Dr Wells at VSH and he commented on what a beautiful, happy, optimistic girl our Sasha is. We are looking at potentially a lot of diagnostics to determine what is causing her anemia - whether it is a GI issue or something else causing her anemia. The first diagnostics recommended include blood work (including hematology, chemistry, and pathologist review of a direct blood film), an ultrasound to take a look at her abdomen and heart, and additional testing for other infectious diseases, some of which are particularly prevalent in bully/terrier breeds (such as babesiosis). Our estimate JUST for this diagnostic testing $2200 - $2500, after which we would have to have funds to cover hospitalization and treatment IF this initial testing showed anything definitive. If the initial testing does not show anything definitive the recommendation is to move to procedures such as an endoscopy, possibly with biopsies, which could rocket us to an estimated $5000.00. We desperately need your help. Sasha desperately needs your help. I am praying that this first round of testing will show us what is wrong with Sasha and we can move forward with making her well, but we need your help to do that. Please help us. If you can help us fight for Sasha by making ANY size donation, you can do that securely through the Sea Dog Rescue website at seadogrescue.org/lend-a-paw/donate/ or directly through Paypal using our email address [email protected] Please dont think your donation is too small...every $1.00 adds up and if you can donate more, thank you!!! Thank you for helping us. Thank you for helping Sasha.
