SATURDAY: Ever heard the term co-housing? Think: super tight-knit neighborhood. Now imagine people coming together to talk about ways to start that here in OKC with the help of a group in Stillwater. When: May 17th Time: 1:00 p.m. Where: Istvan Gallery (1218 N. Western Ave, OKC) Add event to your FB calendar here: https://facebook/events/240674689458767/247186602140909 This meeting is for anyone with a general interest in cohousing communities. Hopefully it will be the catalyst for the formation of a cohousing community in the Oklahoma City area. Residents of the Oakcreek Cohousing Community in Stillwater will be present to talk about their experiences and answer questions. The meeting will then follow an open technology format in which participants break into small groups to discuss topics of their choice. Thank you to Transition OKC for facilitating this portion of the meeting. A cohousing community is a type of intentional community composed of private homes supplemented by shared facilities. The community is planned, owned and managed by the residents. The goal is to form a community that will foster neighborliness, interaction and participation.
