SATURDAY: The beginning of my week. Today I am thankful for the sunrise. Yesterday began as it usually did. However with in the first hour of work I encountered a potentially hair raising event in a back alley with a stranger that ended in a stand off, a stare down, and a moment out of what seemed like a scene out of the movie High Noon.... Except for one thing, this stranger realized I wasnt playing around. He got in his car and drove away. Sigh of relief, quick glance upward, word of thanks. and then the shaking started. Everyday we are tested. Everyday could mean that we may not be there the next. Everyday we take a responsible stance that could mean the difference in the test of the metal of your faith, courage, nerve and resolve. As I unglued my hand from the butt of my pistol I thanked God I didnt have to go that far, and asked Him not to send that man my way again. One test was good enough to last me a life time, and this one was the second. Extra credit I guess. Live in faith for the day. Be kind. Be firm. Smile. Its Saturday. :)
