SAYING, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. But if they BE prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels that are left in the house of the LORD, and IN the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon. Yea, thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain IN the house of the LORD, and IN the house of Judah and of Jerusalem; They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the LORD; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place. The priest said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after THINGS THAT do not profit. A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their means; and my people love TO HAVE IT SO and what will ye do in the end thereof? Because of all the evil of the children of Israel, and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets; and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And they have turned unto me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up early and teaching THEM, yet they have not hearkened to receive instruction. What will you do in the solemn day, and in the day of the feast of the LORD?
