Scotland in 2014 is set to showcase some of the finest sporting events in the world and capturing the very essence of Scotland’s great outdoors, shopping and natural larder, the 26th GWCT Scottish Game Fair is not to be missed. Scone Palace will once again host this year’s exhilarating and educational three day Fair over Friday 4th, Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th July 2014 from 0930 until 1800 hours daily. Offering something for all the family, the GWCT Scottish Game Fair showcases all there is to know about Scotland’s countryside in a lively and scenic setting with a packed programme that actively encourages visitor participation. New headline events for 2014 include The Welsh Axemen who will don razor sharp axes and compete against each other in a tree felling simulation in the main ring arena with a terrifying tree climb finale you won’t want to miss! The main ring will also host the fantastic Fife Fox Hounds – one of the most northerly packs of hounds in Scotland. Keeping on the dog theme, our new The John Field World of Gundogs’ attraction will prove popular with gun dog owners and dog lovers alike with a fun and informative guide to everything you need to know about gun dogs including a thrills’ n’ spills water retrieve and meet the dogs session. 2014 also sees the welcome return of star attractions including the gnat shooting, terrier racing, gun dogs, hill pony demonstrations, falconry, 4x4s and much more. Over 300 exhibitors attend the Scottish Game Fair including some of Scotland’s top food and drink producers and the finest equipment, clothing, craft stalls and businesses you’ll find. Our bustling Food Hall and Cookery Theatre once again takes centre stage with a host of cookery demonstrations as well as the very best artisan cheeses, game, poultry, meat, dairy, preserves, beers and spirits on offer!
