SCOTTISH REFERENDUM ON INDEPENDENCE! As a member of the mysterious human family, as someone who understands the connection between all the varietions and differences in this world, I give my humble opinion as our world faces the cross roads on 18th September 2014. Our world is one world, one entity; what happens in any one part (negative or positive) affects the rest of the world in a similar way to what to the rest of the body parts due to the function or malfunction of one part. People of the world, division means DIVISION which breeds hatred and at best unhealthy competition. Our world is shaped like a football and this may be the reason football is the only language every language understands. Take a football to any part of the globe and you can play and communicate with football as everyone will understand when a goal has been scored. However, what lessons do we, as members of the same human family learn from a football, the replica of our world? Look at the rounded shape of a football, there may be demarcating lines but the lines are interlinked, seamless and knitted together in order to form the rounded shape. The football will never function properly if it splits in two or any part of it is punctured, fractured or torn apart. (Ihenacho. 2014) out soon! Using the human body as a metaphor; even if the mouth will have momentary satisfaction by eating alone, the adverse impact following the starvation of the rest of the body parts, will certainly affect the mouth in the long run. The body can only be healthy when every part of it is able to define its specific role, perform at optimum level and bring their peculiar contribution and expertise together and in one accord to the service of the body. Any part that separates itself from the body, malfunctions or stops functioning will not only suffer but affect the rest adversely. In the book entitled Humility of the brain out soon, the action of the useless anus brought the entire body to a standstill and forced the useful brain that planned to come in with a bang into a u turn as it had no option but to come in with humility. I am not sure whether in the end, the humility of the brain was able to save the body. Alex Salmond and his team have fought a great fight and through this fight, they have (just like the anus) shown the United Kingdom and the rest of the world how unique and important Scotland is to the body (our world). The quality of the debate, the maturity and civilised nature of the contest sets an example to the rest of the world and proofs that politics is at its best when, it revolves around ideology and nothing else. It is hoped that, Scotland can be as athonomous as can be but still part of the same body (United Kingdom & the world). The relevant question I as Having said that, as a member of this human race is; can there really be a winner if a branch decides to separate itself from the tree? Will the tree continue to produce enough fruits and will the branch that is separated from the tree survive in the long run? May God bless Scotland, United Kingdom and bring peace and healing to our troubled world in Jesus Name, Amen!
