SEASONS CHANGE AND SO DID I My life has changed so much in the past two years that I hardly recognize it anymore. The changes have been so constant an ongoing, that it is strange when things stay the same for a while. Two years ago, my house was an absolute wreck and my life mirrored it. My boys and I went on a program to get the house in shape both physically and spiritually. We learned to live in chaos and disarray...every room was torn down and rebuilt and when the dust settled, we started another project and endured another season of clutter. Lets tear it down I told them and make it better. Two weeks ago, we tore it all down again and begin another rebuilding but this time with a womans touch. For a while, we didnt have a living room or bedrooms but only pathways to important things like the stove, the bathroom, the bed and most of all, the coffee maker. Now the best version of my house is emerging and the reality of the vision is worth all the trouble and confusion to get here. This is a reflection of my life...rebuilt and revamped to a better status. Kind Readers, if you are going through the confusion of tough changes; if you are experiencing the loss of what used to be, then cast your care upon God and strive to be patient. The Lord does not change but He is the author of change and those changes are always good. There was a change from the old law to the blessed testimony of grace. Someday, our body will be changed to perfection and immortality. If the Lord can effect great changes as these, then changing our lives is not too hard for Him. I want to be as Nehemiah who said, Let us rise up and build. Soon, there shall be harmony again and it will be better than before. Change and decay, in all around I see. Oh Thou who changest not, abide with me.
