SEEK DAILY Wednesday, November, 6 Exodus 6:2-9 THE BROKEN SPIRITS AND CLOSED EARS ..but they did not listen to him because of their discouragement and cruel bondage. Exodus 6:9, NIV The Israelites became discouraged because of the hard labour. They felt that God was either not really interested in their course or He was not able to deliver them as promised from the hand of Pharaoh. As a result, they decided to ignore Moses words from the mouth of the Lord. Many times, Christians are pushed to this level as well. They become interested only in miracles, not the Word of the Lord; solution, not minding from where or whom it comes. But, there is always a waiting time before the coming of miracles during which God will only continue to give us words of promise. God is not unaware of the problems of life His children go through at any time (v. 5). He understands our pains and pursuits, even when they become too terrible. His love and care are forever present but we must learn to patiently adjust to His timing and take hold of His promises at all times. Our ears must never be closed to His promises.
