SEEMINGLY INCONSENQUENTIAL ACTIVITY BUT HUGELY UNPRECEDENTED ETERNAL REWARDS: A WITNESSING FOR CHRIST AND THE KINGDO OF GOD It dawned on me to consider the power of a witness in circular courts; they have potential to swerve judgment either way. Jesus elucidates the power of witnessing when the heavenly courts shall be in session. Individually the testimony we have will speak to our eternal salvation or damnation: Mark16:14-16 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. And he said unto them, Go ye into the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptised shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. The disciples were censured for unbelief but good for them they had a second chance and believed at the appearing of Christ himself. In Mt10:14, 15, 18 Jesus warns us thus: And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. Verily I say unto you, it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the gentiles. Lk9:5 echoes the same message. What you confess today will remain a testimony for you before the king of kings. I pray that today we shall not be quick to say amen to the message of riches only but we shall be excited when we confess Christ as Lord and Saviour and escape the self damnation in the fire of hell. Bring more to the Lord today by witnessing for the kingdom of God.
