SENIOR NCO LEADERSHIP DISCUSS YAMA SAKURA-67 EXERCISE CAMP ZAMA, Japan – The command sergeant major of Japan Ground Self-Defense Force’s Eastern Army, Warrant Officer Naoto Nomura, met with senior noncommissioned officer leadership here Nov. 19 to talk and finalize plans for the upcoming Yama Sakura-67 exercise. YS-67, a command post exercise, will be held next month at Camp Asaka which straddles Tokyo and Saitama Prefectures. This exercise will encompass nearly 4,500 JGSDF members and 2,000 U.S. Army Soldiers will use various scenarios to better improve training and interoperability between the two forces.
