SENSATIONAL NEWS FROM WHITECHAPEL Coroner Baxter today began his summing up at the inquest into the most recent Whitechapel atrocity. In his opinion the murder was carried out with a particular objective in mind, and a truly horrific one at that. ..The injuries have been carried out by some one who had considerable anatomical skill and knowledge, he told the jury. There are no meaningless cuts. It was done by one who knew where to find what he wanted, what difficulties he would have to content against, and how he should use his knife, so as to abstract the organ without injury to it. No unskilled person could have known where to find it, or have recognized it when it was found...The conclusion that the desire was to possess the missing part seems overwhelming. It would appear that, if Coroner Baxter is correct in his summation, the monstrous maniac who is carrying out the atrocities on the streets of Whitechapel, is doing so not from a lust for blood, but for the purpose of possessing certain body parts for financial gain.
