SEPTEMBER IS NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE AWARENESS MONTH. I have three friends (and numerous FB friends) with babies in NICU right now. Prayers appreciated. For the sake of privacy, I ask that you just keep them all in prayer -- God knows who they are and what they need. Im posting this as an encouraging reminder that NICU babies can and do come home and, like Greer Rose, in the blink of an eye become a big girl. The hardest challenge I faced when Greer Rose was in NICU was not being able to see her at all for the first three days of her life because I was in the Cardiac ICU at the time. When I was finally discharged a week later from the hospital, she had to stay for another 21 days. Shell be five in October and shes one wascally wabbit! Prayers, hugs, and love to all of the families going through this lonesome battle today.
