SEVERE WEATHER WARNING for DAMAGING WINDS For people in the Adelaide Metropolitan, Mount Lofty Ranges, Lower Eyre Peninsula, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula, Kangaroo Island, Flinders, Mid North, Riverland, Murraylands, Upper South East, Lower South East and parts of the North West Pastoral and North East Pastoral districts. Issued at 6:55 am Monday, 6 October 2014. A vigorous cold front will move across South Australia during Monday with dry and strong to gale force north to northwesterly winds developing ahead of the front and fresh to strong west to southwesterly winds following the front. The front is expected to be near Ceduna at around 8 am, Adelaide to Woomera around 2 pm and Renmark to Mount Gambier around 6 pm. Damaging north to northwesterly winds ahead of the front, averaging 55-65 km/h are likely to develop over the warning area after sunrise on Monday with gusts of 90-110 km/h possible. Isolated thunderstorms are expected ahead of the front.
