SFYN Tokyo held a meeting & dinner party yesterday at a public cooking room in Asagaya, Suginami, Tokyo. They are attending two markets in April as exhibitor and are intending to hold the disco soup hopefully in September. So we talked about these two main topics; markets and Disco Soup. Food waste situation, however, seems quite different from other part of the world. We dont have much food products to be wasted. Vegetables, fruits, meat and fish are wisely reused in many ways when they are likely to be left. We talked about our own strategy toward Disco Soup. Besides, we made every meals by ourselves from scratch, yum woon sen, Thai salad with bean‐starch vermicelli, spaghetti with okara; soybean pulp sauce, bitter melon stir-fried with pork, tofu and other vegetables, soy milk sweets and so on. Of course we had beer, wine and Awamori, Okinawan shotyu.
