SHABIR KHAN : HEALTH AND EDUCATION ARE TWO IMPORTANT PILLARS OF DEVELOPMENT. ONLY MLA WHO VISTED ANDROOTH VILLAGE & CHAIRED RKS MEETING OF PHC ANDRROTH LAYS FOUNDATION STONE OF LMV BRIDGE OVER ANDROOTH NALLAH AND ADDRESSED A NO. OF PUBLIC MEETINGS. Shabir Ahmed Khan Former Health Minister and MLA Rajouri today chaired Rogi Kalyan Samitti (RKS) meeting of Primary Health Centre Androoth and give nod to the utilization of funds in the interest of Public. All the members of the RKS attended the meeting and Block Medical officer Dr. Shamim Chowdhary read the last quarter’s meeting agenda and decision cum actions taken were reviewed. DIO Dr. Yash Karsyal in the meeting apprised the Hon’ble MLA, who is also the Chairman of RKS, the detail of work done in the institution besides the detail of various items to be purchased for smooth functioning of PHC. Khan after a threadbare discussion with the RKS members and doctors working there gave his nod for the same and said Health is the first priority of the State government. He said that the tireless efforts of Former Union Minister for Health & FW Jb. Ghulam Nabi Azad resulted into Better future of state in perspective of Health Department. Khan while addressing a huge gathering at Androoth said that during the course of his (Khan’s) Health Ministry, it was Azad sb who on his recommendation doubled the amount of funds under National Rural Health Mission and released 434 crores instead of 224 crores in the year 2013-14 just for benefit of the public of the state, so that they could get better health care facilities at their door step. In the meeting, the RKS members highlighted their demand of Staff quarters at PHC Androoth, which is of dire need in ensuring better health care services to the public. Moreover public of the area showed their satisfaction over the conduct of Doctors and Para medics in the said Institution. Khan after listening their demands, assured the RKS members and public of the area that the work of staff quarters shall be started soon as he proposed the same in Annual State Plan. Khan impressed up on all the doctors and Paramedics to work with zeal and dedication to provide the best Health care services to the general masses. Being far-flung area, Khan also stressed upon the Block Medical officer to ensure proper supply of medicines and Glucose and other related items in the interest of public. To provide the basic amenities and on the demand of public, Khan also laid the foundation stone of a Light Motor Vehicle Bridge over Androoth Nallah, being constructed against the cost of Rs. 86 lacs, by R&B department. Khan khan was very warmly received with garlands by hundreds of his supporters there. It is pertinent to mention here that Khan is the only MLA, who during the tenure of Minister visited the Androoth Village two times and its adjoining areas like Nagoon, Treri etc which are far flung and are at the end of Constituency. Khan said that public service and better development is the only aim of his party, which they carry everywhere. Khan also highlighted various achievements for the last five years and said that the motto of his party is to establish a link between people of far-flung areas and government. He said that due attention is being paid for the infrastructural development especially far-flung, hilly and neglected areas of state and his constituency as well. khan assured them during the next tenure, each habitation of the rajouri constituency shall have water at their door step. Sarpanches, Panches and prominent persons of the area apprised the MLA regarding their problems. They showed full faith in his leadership and said that being the Only MLA who paid frequent visits to the area, shall be voted and supported fully. They declared him as the winning candidate of Rajouri Constituency. People of the area thanked the local MLA for his tireless efforts in executing various developmental activities in his constituency. People of the area pledged that they will vote to bring him in power again and shall offer heartfelt support to him. Other who spoke on the occasion were Qazi Mushtaq, Ch. Sethi, Shakeel Mir Secy.
