#SHARED REVELATION |… (Jer 33:3) Call to me and I will answer you. Ill tell you marvellous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own. This morning we continue our journey towards Knowing God More. Jeremiah was a Prophet and needed to hear from God clearly to be His mouthpiece in the earth for the Jewish people. You may not be a prophet, but you do have access to the Father in the name of Jesus and can receive Divine Revelation from God. The words translated ‘marvellous and wondrous’ in our text literally mean inaccessible and hidden things. It is God’s will that His children prosper (3 Jn 1:2) and live as examples of righteousness in the earth. Our success must be rooted and guided by the Word of God, not only the written word, but also the Living Revelation from the Father. God can show us things about ourselves, our surroundings, our future, etc.; that we could not learn any other way. Remember that our future is God’s past. Just like a builder has to ‘finish’ the plans for a building before he ever gets started on the work, God’s plan for our lives was finished before we ever came on the scene. So everything in our future is already in His past. He knows the thoughts we have before we think them (Ps 139), He knows the concerns we have before we feel them, and He knows the snares we will face before we encounter them. So what does this mean to you today? A few things: 1. God knows everything: Before we will ever ask God to reveal anything to us, we must settle in our minds that He has what it is that we are asking for. You will never ask a homeless person for a Million dollars. Why? Because you will not perceive that they have the ability to fulfill the request. For us to even pray to God, we must first believe in our heart that he can make our prayer a reality. So we must settle in our minds that God knows everything - period - before we begin to ask Him for information and revelation. 2. God is willing to share His Wisdom with His children: Do you have children? If you do, then it is easy to you to relate to this concept. You want the best for your children and you are more than willing to sit down with them and teach them the way that they should go. You don’t want them to fail, so you want to equip them with the best possible information. You are willing to freely give everything you have learned through the years to your children. Now, if mere human beings are willing to do that for their natural children, how much more will God reveal to His? 3. We must ask and ask in faith: God is willing to fulfil our request for information and other things as well, but when we come to Him, we must come in faith. He honours faith and is moved by it. Fear moves satan, but faith moves God. James said it this way, (Jas 1:5,6) If any of you need wisdom, you should ask God, and it will be given to you. God is generous and wont correct you for asking. But when you ask for something, you must have faith and not doubt. Anyone who doubts is like an ocean wave tossed around in a storm. Think about it. God, the Master and Creator of all things is willing to share His wisdom with you. This is a tremendous benefit of being a citizen of the Kingdom. Are you ready to stake claim on this benefit? Confession for this day: Lord God. You know everything. I come in faith and stake a claim on the benefit of revelation. You can reveal to me hidden wisdom and actionable information. I ask and receive Your Wisdom, Revelation, and Knowledge today; concerning my family, career, destiny, and even my enemies. Show me Lord, Your will and will walk in obedience with what I receive. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
