PAID EXTRA WORK FOR NEW TIM BURTON MOVIE Beau Bonneau Casting is seeking SF Bay Area local Men and especially Women with short hair appearing to be Caucasian in their 20s – early 40s for paid extra work on the Tim Burton film “Big Eyes” shooting in San Francisco Wed. August 28 – Fri. 8/30. This is a period film reflecting the late 1950s – 1960. The look of the background actors is specific and essential for authenticity. Everyone must be photo approved by the Director, attend a wardrobe fitting 8/19 - 8/23 and be willing to receive a paid haircut if necessary; haircuts will likely only be provided for men. Background roles include: Beatniks, Artists, Bohemians and photo approval will begin early August. Please note: period costumes are average-sized; extraordinarily tall, petite or large physiques may not work. There will be cigarette smoking on set to reflect the era and most scenes will be filmed outdoors. IMPORTANT: late 1950s – 1960 HAIR – Natural colors and styles needed (no chunky highlights or ultra-modern cuts). WOMEN: Production is seeking women with Ear to Chin length hair or slightly longer, must be above the shoulder. Women will be asked to set hair with rollers the night before/morning of shoot. MEN: Men’s hair was worn very short on the sides and in back with short to comb-able length on top (no mohawks/faux-hawks). You must be willing to get a production provided haircut to match description and shave facial hair/trim sideburns if needed. Hours/Employment: Film shoots are long, often 12-14 hrs. We never know the start time until the evening before and it’s usually very early, i.e. 6am or earlier. You must be avail conflict free from early morning to late evening. Union members are paid scale. Non Union Extras are paid $84.40 for up to 8hrs plus overtime at time and ½ based on SF min. wage $10.55/hr. Wardrobe fitting rate is $21 for up to 2 hrs. Haircuts are paid, rate TBD. I-9 paperwork will be filled out at fitting. U.S. Citizens must have current U.S. Passport OR two forms of ID: a valid Drivers License or State Photo ID with Social Security Card or Birth Certificate. Non U.S. citizens must have Green Card, Permanent Resident Card or Work Authorization Dept. of Homeland Security.
