SHEMA GETS ANOTHER HONOR IN ZAMFARA AS HE WAS NAMED SARDAUNAN FULANIN NIGERIA. At a grand reception (Diner) organized by Zamfara State government to honor Governor Ibrahim Shehu Shema of Katsina, the National Association of Fulani (Miyetti Allah Kauthal Khore) has honored the governor with another Chieftaincy title. Shema who was named as “Sardaunan Fulanin of Nigeria” is to communicate to the national leadership of the association for his turbaning arrangement at a time and date convenient for him. His appointment as “Sardaunan of Fulanin Nigeria” came barely less than twenty four hours to his official turbaning as “Lamidon Fulben Gusau” by Sarkin Katsinan Gusau Alh Mohd Kabir Danbaba. It could be recalled that, not more than two months, the Sarkin Katsina Alh Kabir Abdul-mumin turbaned him as, “Sarkin Fulanin Katsina” at a grand reception attended by thousands of imminent Nigerians. While presenting the letter of appointment to the governor, the National President of the Association Alh Abdullahi Bodejo described Katsina State governor as someone who is peaceful, very passionate and keen about Fulani and their activities adding that, with his appointment, Fulani in Nigeria will be much better in terms of getting a good ground for their economic sustainability. He urged the governor to consider himself as integral part of the Fulani people and strive hard to support a Fulani person where ever he found him in the country. In his acceptance speech, Katsian State Governor Barrister Ibrahim Shehu Shema, described as unfortunate, the manner at which people attributed every form of crime and criminal activity to Fulani people saying, it was very wrong because, Fulani are special people who are very kind and peace loving. He described them as very potential and economical whose contribution to sustaining the micro economic needs of the nation could not just be ignored. He called on Nigerians to have a re-think on the way and manner they relate with the Fulani people adding that, he will continue to support the activities of Fulani for their peaceful co-existence with the rest tribes in Nigeria. While accepting his appointment as “Sardaunan Fulani of Nigeria”, he thanked the national leadership of Miyetti Allah Kauthal Khore for recognizing him worthy of the chieftaincy title.
