SHORTY - ID#A104636 Collier Domestic Animal Services I am an unaltered male, black Pit Bull Terrier. The shelter thinks I am about 2 years and 3 months old. I have been at the shelter since Mar 05, 2014. Volunteers Notes: SHORTY: Male; Black Pit Bull; Heartworm Positive; 6 years old; at DAS since March 6, 2014. Youd wouldnt believe what a mild-mannered sweet lump of love I am in this 80 lb. body. I am really quiet so I dont get noticed much with all the other dogs barking for attention. I am Heartworm Positive but thankfully, DAS will pay for the meds to treat me. DAS will also give a list of vets to give my owner a reduced price to administer the meds. Other than that, I am perfect ... at least thats what all the volunteers say everyday.I took more pics today of this baby gorgeous boy ... please keep on telling your friends he is at Collier Domestic Animal Services contact me I can take you there to meet him or for any other info... he is a sweet boy please help him get out and have his own home!! The shelter WILL provides the medicine to the vet. The adopter pays for the vet to administer the meds. They have a list of vets that are quite reasonably. Shorty is quite a guy!!!! He is a very mellow dog, older dog, 2yrs old, he is HW+ , but still need a rescue or adopter to come his way. I walked him today and he was great on the leash, loves the water, and roll on the grass. Just because he has HW+ dont be afraid it is treatable with the right vet, it is not that expensive to treat. Please give him a chance... contact me lets go meet him ...Naples, Florida
