SLEEPING HEADS...WEAK BODIES. When a man closes his eyes and falls into deep sleep, his body goes motionless, and he lost consciousness of happenings in his environment; isnt it? The head cannot be asleep and the body active! At this point, anyone can tip-toe and quietly do anything to the sleeping one! (Thank God for being a constant Shield round about His children; we can always sleep with no evil befalling us). When it comes to the issue of marriage, theres great danger when the HEAD(husband/fiance) is sleeping spiritually, and the BODY(wife/fiancee) also grows weak and still!!! Reading the story of Lots daughters sometime ago, how they successfully came out of the land of Sodom and Gomorrah, but didnt come out with their husbands; Then I felt, probably if theyd come out with their husbands, they wouldnt have committed that abomination with their father. They would have done what they did with their father with their own husbands! But, their husbands saw no need to leave Sodom, their husbands were not just blind spiritually, but dead and couldnt see the danger ahead! Alas, they were destroyed with the city! Immediately the Head (husbands) went dead spiritually, the body(wives), also started growing weak until it had to commit such great abomination! Ah, I pray God gives someone understanding today! When the Head alone sleeps, there is danger; let alone when the body also joins it and goes weak; it is disastrous!!! Dear brother, arent you asleep spiritually? The kind of home you desire to have is a reflection of your present spiritual state! God has called you forth as the HEAD, and you carry by divine ordination every organ for direction, but sincerely speaking, dont you think your spiritual eyes and ears are already closed? Then how do you lead your wife and children in Gods own direction? Everytime you talk about marriage, but what are you doing to be the HEAD God has positioned you to be? Have you worked on yourself spiritually; living a life of holiness, developing those godly virtues, striving to have the nature of Christ, discovering purpose, working on that career/business? OR you are just living a nominal life, enjoying the frivolity of life and just fantasising on being a husband? WAKE UP, SLEEPING HEAD, you cant make a godly successful marriage this way! Dear Sister, what of you? You need a fire-brand brother, but what are you also doing to develop yourself to be a fire-brand sister? Arent you a weak BODY? God has made you to be the Help-meet, but do you have the fertilizer/manure needed to help your husband achieve greatness and fulfil purpose? Or all you are working towards are the fashions and entertainment of this world which is of no benefit to your husbands soul? Ah, dont bring that man down, your duty is to help him up! Infact, your husband must not be less than the way you met him, but be better and higher in all areas! Are you just folding hands and fantasising about your Prince, and wedding night alone? Have you sought out Gods pattern of holiness, or you are the type that will soil your husbands ministry with worldliness? Have you earnestly cried out to God for the Spirit and power of prayer; Oh, you dont know that the power of a praying woman cannot be underestimated? This is the time to begin to sow godly seeds into his life via prayer. Sister, you determine the success/failure of your home! Remember, the HEAD cannot function without the BODY; though, he sees, but it is the body that has the hands and legs to perform the action! WEAK BODIES, IT IS TIME TO WAKE UP! My dear brothers/sisters, lets use this period of singleness to spend quality time in Gods presence as to know His plans and direction for our lives! It is the time we need to get that vision and revelation for our next level, and also a time to really prepare ourselves to be the kind of man/woman God wants us to be, beaming with the nature of Christ in us! 2Peter 1:5-9a(AMP): For this very reason, adding your diligence...employ every effort..to develop virtue (excellence, resolution, Christian energy)..knowledge (intelligence)..self-control..steadfastness (patience, endurance)...godliness...brotherly affection...Christian love. For as these qualities are yours and increasingly abound in you, they will keep [you] from being idle or unfruitful...For whoever lacks these qualities is blind, [spiritually] shortsighted...!
