SLPP YG Leader Donates By Minkailu Turay The National Young Generation Leader of the main opposition Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), Musa Peter Moiguah past Thursday donated a DSTV package, 50 inches plasma TV and a Home Theatre to the youth wing of the party at a ceremony held at the Unity Hall, SLPP Headquarters, Freetown. In his speech prior to the donation, the Y.G. Leader explained that, his team is a formidable one capable of making things happen in the party. He said gone are the days when the Y.G. wing will sit arm folded and just wait to follow instructions from some elders. Mr. Moiguah said his new team will deal with issues as they come noting that the SLPP of today belongs to the youth and that the elders should never be allowed to create obstacles in their way. The Y.G. leader further disclosed that since the election to office of the new National Executive, last August, the latter has never called a meeting. Wheelbarrows For Bo City Council Hife Direkt and Gila’s Children Community Hospital in Bo has donated seven modern wheelbarrows to the Bo City Council for the use of keep the city clean project. The presentation ceremony took place at the new city council’s office, Kortugboima Section in Bo. Presenting the wheelbarrows to the Mayor of the Bo City Council, the Chief Executive Director and National Coordinator of Hife Direkt and Gila’s Children and Community Hospital, Musa Syhid Bainda, confirmed that the seven wheel barrows are from their donor partners in Oldenburg City, Germany. Mr. Bainda said they as NGO have realised that their international partners are gradually phasing out, but they need to continue as a Local Organization in order to expand their activities in the Region and the country as a whole. He said there is need to work in cohesion with the immediate local councils for the furtherance of their work. He said his Local NGO needs to have close working relationship with the councils in order to share ideas, bring their international partners in the councils to plan for the development of all. Responding, His Worship the Mayor, Harold Tucker, welcomed the project manager of Hife Direkt, Miss ZANE LAIMINA wishing her a happy stay in the country. He said he cannot take any donation light or easy because it creates an impact on the council and the city, as he put it, he believes in face to face interaction and help people grow from strength to strength. He said on behalf of the council, he appreciated the wheel barrows donated to them. He promised that they will be well utilised as expected. The official presentation of the wheel barrows to the Mayor Harold Tucker climaxed the ceremony.
