SOAP for Monday, May 12: S :: 1 Samuel 12: 20-25 O :: Samuel is reminding them in about the things God has already done for them. They asked for a king, (which why would they need one when they have God?) because everyone else had one they felt like they needed one too. Samuel is telling them that even though they have a king now, don’t turn away from the Lord. Still continue to serve Him will all of your heart. A :: Whenever God has blessed me with something that I ask for. Am I now putting all my attention on what He has given me or am I still keeping my eyes on the Lord? P :: Father God, thank You for the blessing and great things You have done for me. I pray that You help keep my eyes and my heart fixed on You, and to continue to serve You whole-heartedly. Amen!
