POSITION: RESEARCH ASSISTANT (CHALLENGES OF PERI URBAN LIVESTOCK FARMING IN TANZANIA’) (1 POST) QUALIFICATIONS: • Possession of a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) from the recognized University • MSc in Veterinary or Animal Sciences from the recognized University will be added advantage. • Experience in Project management will be an added advantage • Computer literate with experience in writing reports and using internet. • Ability to organize sample collection and appropriate storage • A good command in language (orally and written, both English and Kiswahili) DUTIES: • To collect baseline information on peri-urban livestock farming in the study areas • To assist researchers in field surveys • Preparation of project Newsletter and reports on the project activities • Supervising and administration of activities at the project office • Assisting Training of farmers on livestock diseases and management AGE: Not above 45 years TERMS: Contract SALARY:- As per Treasury Registrar’s salaries Circular No. 2 of 2012
