SOME IMPORTANT TIPS TO CGL 14 ASPIRANTS: 1.GK...Dont give much time to GK.Its output is very very less than input and time is not enough to do experiment with this subject.By working very hard for 3-4 months you will hardly increase your GK marks by 6-7.Give this time to Maths and English.It will give you a slight edge over another candidates and also will be helpful in tier 2. But if you dont want to leave it completely than only read basic GK from a good book only for one hour a day. 2.REASONING...Must go through all types of questions asked related to this subject.There should not be any type in the exam which you have not practiced before.Give enough time to practice but dont be mad after it. 1-2 hour practice a day will be enough. 3.MATHS...Practice as much as you can from any standard book.Book will not create much difference in your performance only practice will do.But must read all the GEOMETRY rules from S.K.Verma.It will be very helpful.Study all the formulae and rules time to time.They should be at your fingertips. 4.ENGLISH...Dont worry if your eng is not very strong.Remember that in the exam there are some topics like NARRATION,,VOICE,,IDIOMS ANS PHRASES,,ONE WORD SUBSTITUTION etc. which can provide you full marks if you study them carefully.So try to grab these marks as much as possible.Must read any newspaper daily for at least half an hour.It will be helpfull in grammar,,passages etc. There are so many books in the market now a days. We have been discussing about all that time to time.Take any STANDARD book and start your study.Dont waste your precious time in selecting a book.Only your practice will create a difference not the name of the book. In tier 1 try to divide your time as 35 min--reas.,,15 min--gk.,,20 min--eng.,,and 50 min for maths...Always attempt maths in the end otherwise time wasted on it may kick you out of the competition. Be confident and keep yourself motivated...
