SOMETHING TO PONDER SETTLE ME LORD But may the God of all - TopicsExpress

SOMETHING TO PONDER SETTLE ME LORD But may the God of all grace who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen and settle you. (1Peter 5:10) NKJV Nobody likes to go through trials and diverse sufferings. But in this Christian walk, every believer must face persecution, and persecution may present itself in various forms. And many of us are grieved by various trials (1Peter 1:6), but this is nothing compared with the eternal inheritance of salvation to come. These trials, persecutions and sufferings, which are temporary, are necessary, so that God can work a good work in the believer and endurance is key. Psalm 138:8 says: The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; ...) NKJV. The Hebrew word perfect is gamar (gah-mar), means to end, finish, accomplish perfect, to come to and end, cease, to perform and to fulfil. The idea is that God begins to work out His purpose in the life of the believer and continues His work until it is absolutely and completely done. Know that God is faithful and Hes not a man that He should lie. In your trial, lean on Him, the Holy Spirit. He will strengthen you and help you through those trying times. And when His work in you is accomplished, He will settle you. Good morning and God bless folks. Have a great day. Jesus loves you. Pastor Bernard Coopan
