SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT: The Religious Question: to be or not to - TopicsExpress

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT: The Religious Question: to be or not to be – This is a touchy subject and I’ve certainly expressed my opinion on it. It is very easy to get people to “bring out the big guns” when you get into religion, and when I make statements like: “we should get rid of all religion,” it really ruffles some feathers. In this regard, I decided to spend some time familiarizing myself with The Quran last night, the “guidance” from The Prophet Mohammed, that is the basis of Islam. It is also “the terrorist bible,” the excuse they use in their attempt to convert the world to their beliefs and justify their actions. Well I can tell you that I saw nothing that would change what I have said. The Universe tells me that there is only ONE energy, but religion tries to make it seem as if there are several, and no matter what religion, it makes the claim, whether overtly or covertly, that IT is “the one” that has the true connection to God. The Universe very clearly says otherwise. What I see in religion, and this was underscored in reading The Quran, was not awareness, but a lack of awareness, a lack of connection, a direction and guidance based on old belief systems, rather than true guidance from the Universe. In that regard, it tells me that it, along with the other religions, is not about freedom, although they all certainly talk about freedom, but rather conformity, control, in some cases brainwashing, radicalization, punishment, etc., all of it a depiction of a humanity that is stuck in the past, mystified beyond belief, and completely controlled by fear. When you are controlled by fear, you are not free. The Universe is guiding us to REAL freedom, the KNOWing of WHO we are, not these ridiculous identities that people attach themselves to. The Universe is speaking loudly to us about awareness, about growth, not the growth of MORE, but the growth of expansion of awareness, the coming into ourselves as the REAL beings that we are. Religion simply says: be who we tell you to be and don’t grow. Perhaps by now you will recognize that this is just more ego control, the old tribalism in action. So ask yourself: What purpose is there in religion, other than to confine humanity? Look at what is going on in the world today, and ask yourself how it would change if we removed religion, and replaced it with awareness. I would say that the answer is clear. It was meant to be, but religion will do everything to make sure you don’t see it. We don’t need saviors. We don’t need false identities. We don’t need old and useless belief systems. Turn your gaze to the Universe and you will see the answers, and they don’t contain the babble of religion as it is practiced on this earth.
