SORRY GUYS USA SAYS NO THIS YEAR. US Bans Nigerians From 2015 Visa Lottery 09/16/2013 Nigerians have been banned from participating in the 2015 America Diversity Visa Lottery programme. This is contained in the instructions for the 2015 diversity immigrant visa program released by the U.S. Department of State on their website. This means that Nigerians who are applying through the various cybercafés and agents will have their application nullified based on the information released by the department. According to the department, Nigeria was excluded since over 50,000 Nigerians have emigrated into the United States in the last five years. The department listed African countries that are eligible for the DV-2015 to include people from Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Cote D’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Djibouti, Egypt*, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco,Mozambique, Namibia, Niger,Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles and Sierra Leone. In Africa, natives of Nigeria are not eligible for this year’s diversity program because Nigeria and some other countries excluded have more than 50,000 natives which have immigrated to the United States in the last five years. Natives of the following countries are also not eligible for the programme in 2015. They are people from Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China (mainland-born), Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, South Korea, United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories, and Vietnam.
