****** SOS ******* Long Beach City College wants to eradicate the campus cats. The caretakers of these cats have gone to great measures to ensure that they are all sterilized and well cared for and now they are being sabotaged. One faculty member has openly spoken about poisoning the cats and their population has decreased. Their shelters are being vandalized. They need our support. There is a meeting at 1:00 on Tuesday to try reason with the College and agree on a humane solution. I have contacted people from UCLA and CSUNs campus cat programs and hope that they can make it out to the meeting. If you can attend this meeting and testify to how a managed colonies work and are beneficial towards cats and humans, please come! Attached is a map for the meeting on Tues. It will be in the T Bldg. on Lew Davis St. Parking is available in the parking structure on the corner of Clark and Carson.
