SPARKY(A0990413) ****PROFESSIONAL BALL PLAYER IS HIS JOB**** A volunteer writes: Sparky is the perfect name for this friendly young live wire - hes gorgeous, energetic and ready to set your heart afire! When I stop by his kennel hes so excited to see me that he performs a cute little happy feet dance at the front of his den, hopping from side to side and giving me his best pleading puppy face, the perfect picture of an adoring and adorable pet. His sleek cow-print coat and clear green eyes give him a unique look and as we walk down the hallway everyone is eager to meet the handsome new boy in town. Sparky is a lover not a fighter; other dogs we pass are greeted with friendly enthusiasm, humans receive hugs galore and were told that he lived happily with 3 children in his former home. This sweet boy is a bit of an enigma, overall hes a very cheerful and outgoing pup, yet at times I get the sense that life hasnt been all sunshine and smiles for Sparky. Out in the yard hes confident and very sociable but when a tarpaulin snaps in the wind he turns in terror, ready to flee. It seems he may not be used to walking on a leash either as he often regards the rope with a perplexed look, occasionally tugging on it, and several times when I firmly tell him to stop and sit (a command he politely acknowledges for treats or a ball) the poor boy cowers right down onto his belly. You don’t know whether to be happy for this boy because he is so cute and cuddly or sad for him because it seems he has not had the best life. However throughout all of his experiences outside of his cage Sparky stays a Happy Go Lucky boy. How can you not fall in love with him? He has everything: brains, personality, looks, and a bit of sadness. Sparky needs a new family to take him in and call his own. He craves that. But Sparky does not have much time, he has made the dreaded Kill List, which means if he doesn’t find a forever home by morning, Sparky will be a former member of this earth, plainly out, he will be dead. Don’t let that be the ending of Sparky’s biography, share him for a forever home. Sparky is such a great boy he can be reserved online until 11:59am tomorrow morning, after that, you will need the help of a rescue. But don’t wait that long, reserve him now. Tomorrow is only a few hours away. And life without Sparky would be a lonely one.
