SPCA director Alanna Devine says she was horrified of what she found at the farm : Animals not having access to adequate water, large amounts of excrement, filthy cages... the sort of things that would be outrageous if we saw dogs... wired bottom cages, no access to a solid floor. The animals on the farm were bred, and offspring are gassed or electrocuted and then pelted. The animals there are kept in small wire cages and all the foxes of the farm suffered from dehydration. Emaciation and starvation was also present in many of the animals and some of them also suffered from a variety of injuries like broken toes, broken legs, missing eyes and lesions on the tail. A clear sign that the animals were severely mistreated and abused. The SPCA asked the government to step in and close the farm but no measures have been taken and the animals are still on the premises of the farm. The owner of the fur farm has faced 262 charges of cruelty and negligence. Please sign the petition and join us in the fight to save the animals from living a torturous life at the fur farm. A life that will end in a horrible death. Do your part and urge the Quebec Government to close the fur farm prosecute the owner for neglecting and mistreating the animals!
