SPEAKING OF MUSICAL CHAIRS AND DISTRICT 53, THIS JUST IN! My complaint alleging John Tobia swore a false oath of residency was ruled legally insufficient. And heres why: even IF he wasnt living in the district at the time he ran, as long as he IS when he takes office, its alright with them. Thus, and when matched against the fact I can go to jail or collect massive fines if I get a petition signer from outside my district, the oath of residency for a candidate is a meaningless document, as is the residency requirement and since each body (in this case the republican ruled House of Reps is responsible for enforcing itself, nothing will come from it anyway.) So, if you want to run for office in Osceola, or Hillsborough, or Miami Dade, all you have to do is point to that county and say whamo presto, I LIVE THERE. I have every right to represent them. And in the game of musical chairs, thats taxation, WITHOUT representation. But in Florida? Its okee dokey through their convoluted mumbo jumbo logic.
