SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT Fakalofa Lahi Atu, The Niue Weightlifting Team are currently here to participate in the Oceania Weightlifting Competition. It started today and ends Sunday 14th July. None of the Niue athletes competed today. We would like to encourage the Brisbane, Logan, Northside, Ipswich, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast communities to get along to support. The Team are competing in the The Chandler Theatre, Sleeman Sports Complex, corner of Old Cleveland Rd and Tilley Rds, Chandler, and competition times are: Alan Tano - Leader/Mgr/Matua Danny Nemani - Coach/Competitor - Superheavy weight , ranked 2nd in Oceania and 1st in the Pacific - Sunday 14th July, 3:30 Motoria Tano - 69kg category - youth - Sat 13th July, 3:30pm Vitolia Tauasi - 75kg category youth - Sunday 14th July, 12:30pm Malia Vea Jnr - 75kg category youth - Sunday 14th July, 3:30pm Rexricco Melekitama - 94kg category - youth - Sat 13th, 8:30am Jack Feleti - 77kg youth category - youth - competing Fri 12th July, 8:30am If any changes will post on here too Supporters: Alanos daughter Sumentra and her husband Sione and their 2 kids one competing have come too. Likewise with Danny Nemanis wife. Prior to that from 5-6 at the same venue there will be a rugby meeting for guys and gals that are interested in competing in the Kings and Queens of the Pacific Rugby Competition.
