SPECIAL THOUGHT OF THE DAY FROM THE VOICE OF PEACE NEWS AND COMMENTS I am profoundly impressed and satisfied with what is going on in my country Sierra Leone today under President Koroma’s leadership and the Agenda for Prosperity. Sierra Leone now enjoys economic growth, political stability and national unity. Today Sierra Leone can be held as a good example for post war reconstruction. The President has done so much to fulfill his vision and change the political and economic landscape of Sierra Leone. He has proved to his critiques that leadership is not defined by your title, but by your actions. He has proactively worked to align his values with his vision. President Koroma should be given the support and opportunity to serve his nation not only as president, but also as a role model for future generations yet unborn. Few weeks ago, after President Koroma’s press release on his cabinet appointments, there were some negative comments made about the appointments by some opposition leaders and supporters. The opposition fails to realize that leadership is learned behavior that becomes unconscious and automatic over time. For example, as president of Sierra Leone EBK can make several important decisions about an issue in the time it takes others to understand the question. Fellow Sierra Leoneans the process of making these decisions by President Koroma comes from an accumulation of experiences and encounters with a multitude of circumstances, personality types and unforeseen failures. The decision making process is an understanding of being familiar with the cause and effect of behavioral and circumstantial patterns; knowing the intelligence and interconnection points of the variables involved in these patterns allows him to confidently make decisions and project the probability of their desired outcomes. The man is an instinctual decision maker. He has done this so many times throughout his presidency and has become immune to the pressure associated with decision making. Fellow Sierra Leoneans make no mistake, do not underestimate EBK. The man has a gifted talent and he is always here to surprise his opponents. In pressure situations President Koroma is always prepared and ready to serve Sierra Leoneans. Part of President Koroma’s job as president is to put out fires and maintain his government’s morale. His war on corruption has set the tone that there should be no sacred cow in his government. The EBK administration is here to assure everyone that set backs are natural; the most important thing is to focus on the larger goals as president and stay calm and confident. He is working hard to keep all his promises fulfilled.
