SPENCER is my name & my wish ╬╬╬╬ is a real Home!! A volunteer writes: My heart almost skipped a beat tonight. I was on my way home and I saw..Spencer walking with an elegant man. I asked..Is this …Spencer? The man looked at me, puzzled. No, this is Larry, eleven years old… I swear…Spencer s twin brother….Larry was obtained from a shelter in Connecticut as a puppy, a mix between a Boxer and a Mastiff. Amazing. I wish our Spencer would be so lucky. Spencer was adopted from our care center many years ago and brought yesterday to us as a stray. He is quite an impressive figure who tries to keep his posture despite the years wearing down his body. He is a proud dog. He gets up right away when I come to his door and is leashed in a sec. He walks nicely and majestically, eliminating in one stop. His kennel is clean and orderly. He is pretty good although slow with the stairs. Spencer seems to have been a family dog. His coat is intact, golden brown and he does not even have one callus.He was covered with black dust when he came in and enjoyed today every moment of the bath given to him by a staff member. Spencer has already made quite a number of friends…He likes to be petted, sits carefully on command, takes very soft treats gently from the hand and seems quite tolerant of other dogs, even the little ones. His interest was picked when another male, much younger passed us by but there was no aggressive stance. Spencer likes to lay down for a rest, which he does at his caretakers feet, making sure he gets his dose of caresses. I enjoy my time with Spencer. He reminds me of my grandpa , a strong mind, a willful spirit that kept a weak body go strong for many years. Spencer still has in him the bravery of a soldier but his predicament is tough for an elderly. Spencer, a dog in his golden years, needs a home, soon, a home where he will be respected , cared for an loved as he deserved as a dog .
